My name is Nuwamanya Mategyero (pronounced Ma-te-je-ro), I am a Christian who was a few years ago wrecked by the gospel and liberated out of legalism and do-it-yourself Christianity. is where I write about the intersection of gospel and life—and the centrality of the gospel.

I love Reformation Theology and Martin Luther is my hero in all aspects. I worship at St. Francis Anglican Chapel, Makerere University Kampala.

I hold that the gospel is not about us or what we do. The gospel is God’s work on behalf of sinners in His incarnate son, Jesus Christ. Paul in Acts 13:38 explicitly states that the gospel is “the forgiveness of sins” when he says: “Let it be known to you therefore, brothers, that through this man forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you…” That is what I proclaim here, Jesus Christ and His work for you every day.
